From Aarau or Frick SBB station
Postbus: Aarau-Staffelegg (or Benkerjoch, transport service from Benkerjoch not possible) or Frick-Staffelegg.
From Staffelegg bus stop: 15-25 minutes on foot or with the Herzberg bus: For the journey from the Staffelegg pass to the Herzberg (outward or return journey) there is the possibility of using a transport service from 8.30 to 17.00 for SFr. 10 per journey. Please contact reception the day before and we will clarify our options.
From Benkerjoch it takes about 30 minutes on foot.
Outside the times mentioned above, you can easily reach the Herzberg with the Piccolo-Taxi Aarau. A fixed price of CHF 40 maximum has been agreed with this company for the outward or return journey from Aarau station to Herzberg (Tel. Taxi 062 822 11 22 or 078 718 88 88).

by car
Highway A1, exit Aarau-Ost: continue on the highway in the direction of Aarau. Take the Rohr exit, keep right at the fork and stay right in the direction of Frick / Basel, at the traffic circle: keep right on Staffeleggstrasse, continue in the direction of Frick / Basel. Shortly before the Staffelegg pass, follow the signpost to Herzberg until the next signpost to the parking lot in front of the Herzberg.
Highway A3, exit Frick: direction Aarau through Ueken, Herznach and
Densbüren. At Staffelegghöhe follow the signs for Aarau and after 20 meters follow the signpost "Herzberg" on the left and turn right until the next signpost to the parking lot in front of the Herzberg.
You will find free parking at the house.
If you cannot find the Herzberg in your navigation device, please enter "Staffelegg Passhöhe" as the destination, from there the route is signposted.
